We're excited to potentially have our first guest next week.
But separately...your PowerPoint/Keynote slide deck is there to be a visual aid for your presentation.
You should not be just reading off the slides.
You must create your own message, using the slide deck to support the message without reading from it.
Consider: you've probably been in at least one meeting where they've done the reading. This means:
- They don't respect your time
- They don't acknowledge that you know how to read
- They don't really care to engage, they just want to stand up and dictate to you, "Buehler" style
Why would this engender trust or add to confidence? Why should this practice be celebrated?
The key is to consider yourself the star of the show, not your slide deck. Let's dive into that.
Leicesterage Podcasts...never scripted.
